Introducing WRF's New EU Delegate and Our Fight Against Systemic Racism and Discrimination

Dear members and supporters of the World Roma Federation (WRF),

We are excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Antal Robert Nyerjak as the World Roma Federation's new delegate to the European Union and Director of EU Relations. Under the guidance of the International Relations Department, Mr. Nyerjak will represent our organization in Brussels and work tirelessly to promote the interests of our community.

With his appointment, WRF reaffirms its dedication to address critical socio-economic challenges that affect marginalized groups. As a special interest group lobbying for policies and legislation, we continue to combat systemic racism and discrimination at all levels – from national governments to international bodies.

Our capacity to make a difference lies in our focus on initiatives aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and social pillars such as:

1. Poverty: The WRF seeks to reduce poverty within minority communities through advocacy for equitable policies, access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities.

2. Housing: The WRF prioritizes lobbying for affordable, safe, and inclusive housing that caters to the unique needs of minority groups. Through these efforts, we aim to prevent discrimination in housing markets and reduce homelessness.

3. Employment: Recognizing discrimination in labor markets, we advocate for fair, inclusive employment practices that ensure equality of opportunity for every individual, regardless of their ethnic background.

4. Migration: With a focus on human rights, the WRF addresses issues surrounding migration due to economic disparity or persecution by developing solutions that promote positive integration into host communities.
