ROMANI KOALICIJA - ROMANI COALITION

We, the representatives of the World Roma Federation, an international organization recognized by the European Union and holding a Royal Decree by the King of Belgium, possessing an international legal personality and the capacity to engage in diplomatic relations, international agreements, and geopolitics, hereby establish this steering committee and coalition for the purpose of advancing the formation of a legitimate International Self-Government for the Romani Diaspora.

Recognizing that our mission as an institution is to advocate for the human rights and dignity of the Roma people, we affirm our commitment to continue our ongoing activities and work. By forming this coalition, we aim to secure recognition for the Roma as a people and nation beyond simply being considered a minority or ethnic group, acknowledging their unique cultural heritage, historical experiences, and collective aspirations.

Further emphasizing our dedication to democratic principles and values, we establish that all members of the Coalition shall have equal rights, with no single president or leader but rather a spokesperson who will represent the collective committee's voice.

In adherence to these commitments, we outline the following structure for our interim self-government body:

1. Coalition – Comprised of Community Leaders, Activists, and Organizations working together with a shared vision.

2. Subcommittees – Focusing on key areas such as Human Rights, Community Development, Economic Development, Health, and Housing.

The Coalition will serve as a temporary representative foundation for the Roma Nation until formal elections can be held for a parliamentary structured system. This election process will involve choosing one representative per country to serve in government and subsequently electing a President from among those representatives.

Together, we shall strive toward achieving recognition and empowerment for the Romani Diaspora on an international stage while reinforcing our unwavering dedication to human rights and democratic principles.
